CGES Fall 2018 Run Club
Registration is now open for the Fall 2018 session of the College Gardens Elementary School Run Club!

Led by CGES experienced runner Ms. Green (Kindergarten Teacher) and Ms. Luperdi (Fourth Grade Teacher), the Run Club will provide a safe and fun running program in which participants will learn about running fundamentals, goal-setting, sportsmanship, and healthy eating habits.

Run Club will begin on Tuesday, September 18 and end on Thursday, November 1.  Our official goal race will be the Rockville 5k and 1 mile Fun Run on the morning of Sunday, November 4 that begins in King Farm.  (There are additional fees to participate in the race, more details to follow.) 

Please note the dates and times for the following grades:

Second and Third Graders: Tuesdays 3:50-4:45 (first practice Tuesday, 9/18)
Fourth and Fifth Graders: Thursdays 3:50-4:45 (first practice Thursday, 9/20)

Runs will take place at College Gardens Park.  Participants must wear appropriate sneakers AND bring a water bottle to participate.  A healthy snack will be provided at each session.  In the event of inclement weather, Run Club will be cancelled. Notification of cancellation will be given by 2:00 pm by email.

Run Club forms, along checks made payable to CGES PTA in the amount of $20 per child, are due no later than Friday, September 14.
