Digital Citizenship Week Oct 17-21

From the Media Center
October 17th-21st is Digital Citizenship Week.

At College Gardens students receive lessons, in the Media Center and with the counselor on how to use technology in a principled manner. These lessons cover topics such as cyber safety, online bullying, evaluating websites, Internet safety and more. Many of these lessons come from Common Sense Education.

MCPS has partnered with Common Sense Education to provide lessons, resources and information to give students what they need to be responsible digital citizens. Common Sense Media also has a wealth of information on media-related parent concerns, such as technology addiction, cyberbullying, privacy and internet safety and social media usage.  There are reviews of movies, games and apps to help you determine what is right for your child.

Please take a look at all the great information offered on the Common Sense Media website.
