The Book Fair began online September 17 and runs through October 7. Please feel free to share this link with others who want to help RAE students rebuild their home libraries that were lost in the flood: http://www.scholastic.com/bf/raereadersrock. Instructions for donating books are on the site.
There will be opportunities for donating at the fair itself in the RAE Library from October 2-6. All profits from the fair will be used to rebuild home and classroom libraries in our community that were impacted by the flood.
Grandparent’s Day Lunches have also been moved to October 5 and 6 during Book Fair so we would love for Grandparents to have lunch with their grandkids and then come shop with them at the Fair! Kids who bring grandparents or other loved ones will get to enter a drawing for a free book!!!
The used book drive continues through September! Please feel free to bring in your gently used children’s books to help rebuild our StingRAE family libraries! If you know a family in our community, or are a family in our community who has lost their home library, please contact Lisa Cardinal, the RAE Librarian, at 281.237.7128 for details of how we can help to rebuild libraries at home.
