Dear Families, Administrators and Teachers:
The Griffin Middle School PTSA knows that a strong partnership among our families, school leaders and community members is important to the success of our students and school. That’s why we are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which grows partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students.
At a National PTA School of Excellence, families feel welcomed and empowered to support student success, and PTA is a key partner for continuous school improvement. We feel Griffin Middle School and Griffin Middle School PTSA can achieve that together—and the result will be national, state and community-wide visibility for the positive impact we are making together at Griffin Middle School.
We need your help! As part of the process, National PTA requests feedback from families, administrators and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end. Your feedback will help National PTA generate a customized guide which will provide specific recommendations for improving our family-school partnership and achieving excellence.
Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at this school and complete the attached survey by following the below link. April 27th: Annual 8th Grade Dance
Griffin’s PTSA is proud to announce the 8th Grade Dance: ALL THAT CLASS!
**Advance Ticket Purchase Required. Please read all of the details below, use View Product
at the bottom for on-line ticket purchase****What is it?
A special night to celebrate our 8th Graders! We will provide heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts and beverages. The students will be entertained by a DJ and we will also have photo booths and other photo opportunities.When is it?
The Dance will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 7-10pm. Where is it?
The Dance will be in the Griffin Cafeteria. Permission Slips required
: These are going home with 8th graders on April 12th, and parents / guardians will need to review and sign. You can also print a permisson slip using the Print Out button at the bottom of this page. If you are purchasing a ticket on line, you will be asked to confirm that you have reviewed the Permission Slip and agree to the terms stated in it.Tickets will be on sale beginning Monday, April 15, at the PTSA Store.
Have your student bring in the signed permission slip and $15 to receive their invitation. Don’t trust your student to bring in the money and permission slip? That’s okay, we’ll also have online ticket sales beginning Monday, with a small convenience fee included. **Price goes up to $20 on April 25**Ticket Prices & Deadlines: DEADLINE to Purchase at PTSA Store & On Line: Thursday, April 25

: On line tickets are $15 at the store, and $15.75 each on line (includes small convenience fee) Ticket Prices on Thursday, April 25, until 12 noon on April 26
: $20 at the store, and on line at $20.88 each (includes small convenience fee). Ticket sales end at 12 noon on April 26.
Please keep your online receipt.Delivery:
Tickets will be delivered to the Homeroom of the Student Name on the purchase, no later then Thursday, April 25 (unless purchased on April 25). The dance admission desk will have the full list of all students that purchased tickets on line AND those that purchased a ticket at the PTSA Store with a signed permission slip.Have any questions?

Aladdin the Musical, May 2019
Show dates: Thursday, Friday, & Saturday nights, May 2, 3, & 4
Show time: 7pm each evening, and doors open at 6:30pm.
Tickets are now on sale for this year's musical production, Aladdin, Jr.
Tickets in advance are $8/each at the PTSA Store, or $8.52/each on line. Tickets at the door are $10/each, but don't wait as these shows may sell out!

Concessions will be available prior to showtime and at intermission.
Savannah Trip, Oct 13-15, for rising 8th Graders
The annual 8th Grade Field Trip to Savannah, Georgia, is scheduled for October 13-15, 2019. The brochure has gone home with current 7th graders, and is also included here, please click the "Print Out" link at the bottom.
