Safe Routes Coordinator (volunteer)
Date: ASAP
Safe Routes to School is an international movement that has taken hold in communities throughout the United States.  The concept is to increase the number of children who walk or bicycle to school by funding projects that remove the barriers that currently prevent them from doing so. We are seeking two Safe Routes Coordinators for Brookside. This would entail setting up a table most Wednesdays for Walk and Roll scanning (8:00-8:45am), enrolling the students interested in participating, and helping publicize events when needed. There are occasional meetings with the Marin County Safe Routes team to learn about issues surrounding our neighborhoods. There are plenty of resources to help you with this role! Kids love to scan in so please help us continue this program on campus!
