Seeking PTA Board Candidates for 2019-2020

Are you interested in making a difference for students, teachers, and parents of College Gardens Elementary?  Please consider running for the 2019-2020 College Gardens Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Board.

The PTA Board is a dedicated group of volunteer Parents, Teachers, Staff, and Administrators who work together to make our school and our community a better place for all of our children.  The PTA Board helps support a variety of important educational and cultural activities and events including a student support fund, in-school cultural arts assemblies, No Place for Hate Activities, Cultural Heritage Night, Art and Book Fairs, Math and Science Night, and other social events.  This year's PTA Board led the effort to raise funds to purchase new technology for students - ipads in 2019-2020 - and supports several teachers to attend the yearly IB conference to bring back lessons from the latest Primary Years Program curriculum to share with all CGES teachers and staff.

The PTA Nominating Committee seeks candidates for all positions for the 2019-2020 PTA Board.  All positions are open and all current PTA members are eligible to run for the following Board positions:

  • President

  • Vice President of Fundraising
