Cybersafety and Social Media

Learn about common websites, applications used by children, and safety issues related to computer and cell phone use.  Come and hear strategies for monitoring the use of social media in your family.  Presented in collaboration with the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office.  Recommended for families of elementary, middle, and high school students.

Healthy Screen Use

Are social media, television and video games a source of distress in your home?  Are battles over television, and internet use taking away from quality family time?  Hear how to set limits on screen use and address this common problem area with your child.  Recommended for families of elementary, middle, and high school students.

Join us to hear how children are using media and technology to create, consume, communicate, and learn.  In this workshop, we will discuss how media and technology impacts children’s health and development.  Learn tips on how to guide your child to make safe and respectful digital choices.  Presented by Common Sense Education.
