Deadline Extended for Cultural Heritage Night - Final Chance to Participate
Cultural Heritage Night (CHN) is coming and we are looking for College Gardens families who are interested in participating! CHN is being held on Friday, March 29 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. This is one of our most well-attended events of the school year!
The deadline to sign up for Cultural Heritage Night has been extended one more week to this Friday, March 15.We are especially looking for a few more students who would like to participate in our cultural performances. If your child would like to represent his or her cultural heritage by dancing, singing, playing an instrument, reciting a poem,etc., please email Pam McHugh at Pamela_M_Mchugh@mcpsmd.org by Friday, March 15.Please sign up if you would like to host an information table, share artwork/poster, provide food, showcase a talent, or otherwise showcase your country, region, state or culture.

• Complete the attachment at the bottom of this page and return it to the CGES Office, Attention: Mrs. McHugh

And remember, you don’t have to be from another country to participate! You may create a table display for the state in which your family was born or raised, the country which your parents, grandparents or ancestors are from, or a region of interest in which you once lived or visited! For example, ** Many families have done table displays for states such as California, New York, Ohio, Maryland and Idaho
** A family once hosted a table for a country in which a parent had served as a Peace Corps volunteer
** A student researched a country to which they had no ties and created a table display
