The TERRIFIC Rockville Citizen challenge gives FREE BIKES to students in grades 1-5 who fulfill six (or more) “good deeds,” such as perfect
attendance in school for one month, volunteering with a charity, picking up litter in a public place, or helping someone who is sick or elderly.
Interested students must register in advance. Each selected participant must have a sponsor to monitor their progress. Successful participants receive a certificate for taking part and are invited to attend a Mayor and Council meeting (on May 4 at 7 p.m.) to be recognized for their TERRIFIC work.
Participants will receive their reconditioned bike and new helmet during a special event Sunday, May 17, hosted by Rockville Bike Hub. Bikes will be fitted and a brief orientation on safety given.
