Montgomery County Recreation and Gandhi Brigade are pleased to announce the launch of the #ThisIsWhy Youth PSA Campaign. With the effects of social distancing taking its toll on youth throughout the county, this campaign and contest allows for youth voice on the topic that can be spread throughout the community. Despite the inconveniences and hardships of quarantine, but because they understand the importance and the impact that they are making....... #ThisIsWhy youth are choosing to #stayhome #staysafe. 

The #ThisIsWhy PSA Video Campaign Contest has been added to this year's Gandhi Brigades Youth Media Festival (https://www.gandhibrigade.org/festival ) and will run through June 5th. Cash gift cards will be awarded to the first and second place winners from each category (Elementary, Middle School, High School, Young Adult). There will also be a MoCoRec Pick of the week that highlights one submitted video and the artist will receive a $20 cash gift card.
