Happy Summer! We all know how important it is to keep students reading.  This summer, libraries may be closed, but there are still many  places that offer eBooks and other resources for kids to read online.  

The Montgomery County Public Library (MCPL) is offering a virtual summer reading incentive program this year.  Also, many other online eBooks and resources are available at MCPL for kids.  If you don’t already have a library card, you can easily get one online and have access to all the MCPL online resources.

You can also access eBooks and audiobooks through the MCPS SORA app.  This allows you to check items out from both MCPS and MCPL.

MCPS also offers eBooks and online resources for students which are available all year long. Please check out the Media Center webpage. 

Finally, I would like to stress the importance of letting children pick books that are of interest to them. This is a time to let them enjoy reading what they like and if they like what they read, they will like reading!
