An exciting Field Day has been planned for College Gardens Elementary School students. The events will be held on Monday, June 13th (rain or shine) with this year’s theme being “2022 College Gardens Olympics”. To make this the most successful of days, we will need plenty of volunteers to facilitate station activities.
Important things to remember:
Field day activities from 10am-2pm (classes rotate to different stations lasting about 10 minutes each, then Tug of peace from 1:15-2pm)
Students will eat a bag lunch 12:00 – 1:00
Students will be dismissed at the normal time
Parents should communicate with the classroom teacher and the main office of any changes in your child’s schedule
Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle with name
If wearing sunblock, it should be applied before arriving to school
Students are encouraged to wear his or her grade level spirit wear color (tee shirt)

Please seriously consider volunteering at this year’s field day. Help is mainly needed to run stations from 9:50-12, but set up and clean up is needed also. All school volunteers must complete the vCAN (Volunteer Child Abuse/Neglect) module and new COVID-19 Vaccination Attestation module via their myMCPS Classroom/Canvas account.
