Holiday Toy and Food Drive

Holiday Food Drive and Eakin Toy Store needs your help!

Dear Eakin Families,

Several years ago, we began an Eakin toy store that was open for our families who needed assistance during the holidays. Thanks to the generosity of our community, this program has been an amazing success. Last year we were able to provide gifts and food to over 60 Eakin families! This year, we are excited to partner with our Eakin Family to continue our legacy of generosity and caring for one another. Our program will look different this year as we abide by Covid-19 Safety Protocols, however our spirit of joy and community will remain the same! We will still be collecting donations of toys, food and gift-cards but will share with participating families in a drive-through event Thursday, Dec. 17, to keep our community safe and healthy. We’d love for you to be a part of the fun, and here’s how:

Want to donate? Here are two ways to participate:

1. Check out our Amazon.com Wish-List!

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/EX6C5ZXP52X9/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_2?_encoding=UT F8&type=wishlist

Toys will be shipped directly to school— easy as pie!

2. Send a gift card to school!

We’re collecting gift cards to Kroger, Walmart or Target in $20-25 denominations. You can drop these off at the main office or send with a student in an envelope marked “Eakin Toy Store.”

Want to sign your Eakin student(s) up to participate?

Call, text or email Mrs. Hippel (family involvement specialist) to receive more information and/or register.

Questions? Reach out! Rachel Hippel (615) 496-1422 rachel.hippel@mnps.org

P.S. If you are part of a church or other organization that might also like to help, please feel free to get them involved as well. The more the merrier! Mrs. Hippel is also accepting cash donations.
