Hello families!

Whether you're new to Nashville or simply weighing the school options available to your family, selecting the right school can be stressful. At Eakin Elementary, we work hard to ensure that our school community is a place where all children and families feel connected and welcome. Our teachers and administration work hard to make Eakin what we believe to be the best school in Nashville.

Eakin is located in the vibrant Hillsboro Village neighborhood. The school houses a wonderful library, leading technology, a full-size gymnasium, and much more! In addition to general classroom instruction, all students receive a related arts curriculum that includes art, music, Spanish, and physical education.  At Eakin, there are also many options for children and their families when it comes to aftercare, extracurricular activities, and clubs.  Check out the information under the "Links" tab on our website.

The families and staff at Eakin value the diversity in our student body and feel it is one of our greatest strengths. Keeping with this value, Eakin is an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme School.  Eakin is home to children who speak more than 20 languages and come from more than 30 countries. We are also the designated school for Davidson County's deaf and hard of hearing elementary students. Every grade has 1 classroom which includes a sign language interpreter. We are proud that all students learn first-hand to value difference and inclusion!

At Eakin, we have a vibrant school community and a commitment to rich academics taught through an inquiry method that is a hallmark of the IB Primary Years Programme.  Come see for yourself what makes Eakin unique and why we say "Eakin Gives You the World."

We'd be happy to offer you a tour of our school.  Please join us in 2020 for a Tour Tuesday at 10:30 AM or 12:00 Noon on January 14th, 21st, and 28th; February 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th; plus March 3rd, 10th, 24th, and 31st.  No appointment is needed for a Tour Tuesday.

If you are unable to make it for a Tour Tuesday, feel free to email eakintours@gmail.com to set up a time on another date that is convenient for you.

A parent from the tour committee will contact you to determine a mutually convenient time to lead you on a tour of our campus and answer your questions. Often members of our faculty and staff are available to greet you as well.
