As the 2020-21 school year heads into the second semester, Cobb Schools is making preparations to continue teaching and learning in a safe and healthy environment. Just as in the Fall, families will have the opportunity to choose the environment that works best for them: face-to-face or remote learning.
Between Sunday, November 15, and Sunday, November 29, parents will be able to choose their preferred learning model for the spring semester of 2021. Submitting your choice by November 29 will allow all Cobb schools to build student schedules that meet your student's individual needs. Specific instructions, including login directions, will be provided to parents before the choice window opens on November 15.
To help inform your decision, sample learning schedules, learning models, meal plans, transportation, after-school programs, enhanced health and safety protocols, and expectations for students and teachers can continue to be found at the digital home for Cobb's Reopening Plan.
"The safety of our students and teachers is the number one priority," said Superintendent Chris Ragsdale. "We remain committed to making decisions based on public health guidance and, knowing this pandemic has impacted each of us differently, to giving parents the ability to choose between a face-to-face and remote learning classroom."
