New Running Club at KSE
KSE is so excited to announce that the KING SPRINGS KILOMETER KIDS CLUB (Running Club) is approved for the Fall 2021! For this season it is for Grades 4-5 (Grade 3 as space is available), FREE: Mondays & Fridays 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. (Pickup time is 3:40 p.m. at KSE Front/Main Entrance). Program Begins Aug. 30 and goes through Nov. 19.

Kilometer Kids is Atlanta Track Club's oldest and largest youth running program. The game-based curriculum is designed to teach kids about goal setting, healthy habits, respect, and community building, all through exposing them to the sport of running. Over the course of the Fall season, the goal for every Kilometer Kid is to run 26.2 miles or the equivalent of a marathon by attending two practices a week for 11 weeks. As a noncompetitive program, being a Kilometer Kid is not about running the fastest or winning the race. Instead it's all about working hard, being kind and having fun while becoming more physically active, being a part of a team and finding joy in the process.

NOTE: If your child is already participating in Girls On the Run, we ask that you do not enroll in this club but open spaces to other students interested in running programs.

VOLUNTEER: This is a Parent-run organization and we would love to add more parent volunteers to substitute for coaches or help with carpool dismissal on club days. Please contact Carol Kleywegt: carol@kennemore.net to volunteer.
