Families living in the Nashville metropolitan area have more than 160 public schools available to them in their neighborhoods and nearby communities. Metro Schools offer a wide variety of unique academic programs, supports, and extracurricular activities in locations that span the city so that every student has access to the tools they need to be successful.

Your child is unique and we are prepared to work with that. We at Metro Schools have the infrastructure and resources to accommodate any set of needs that your child might have. You will likely spend significant time searching for the right school, or the right programs for you child, and we are here to help! Partnering with you and your family, we will strive to provide your child with the educational experience they need in order to graduate prepared to be successful in college, the professional world, and in life.

The school choice application process for the 2019-20 school year should begin in January 2019. The later start date will allow the district and school board time to finalize plans for MNPS Next and will allow families more time to apply before the random selection process. This change will benefit families and will allow more time for families to prepare for the application process. This change is also consistent with the recommendation from the School Choice Transition Team to “extend the application period for the school choice process."  School choice applications will be due February 1, 2019 at 4:30pm.
