Dear Lockeland Families,

We realize that there will be a great deal of media coverage around Inauguration Day on Friday, January 20^th, and we recognize the importance and historical value of the presidential oath of office.  MNPS does not have a protocol for special televised events and given that the inauguration will take place on Friday at 11:00 AM when many of our students are either at recess, lunch or in special area classes, we have made a decision not to televise the event in classrooms.

For parents that prefer their child view the swearing-in ceremony, Lockeland will show the live event in the library at 11:00 AM during the school day.  If you would like for your child to see the ceremony, please email your child’s teacher and he/she may view it in the library.
