Every Friday is Spirit Day at the school. Most Fridays, students can participate by wearing their Marvin spirit wear or mostly red and blue. There are some special spirit days throughout the year in which students will wear something different. These days will be announced through their teachers.
The teacher in each grade level with the highest percentage of student participation receives a red Mustang to display outside their classroom. This class/teacher also gets recognized on the morning broadcast. Once a teacher collects five Mustangs, each child in their class gets a Mustang charm for their book bag chain. Also, the teacher with the overall highest percentage, receives two red Mustangs. On special spirit days (i.e. Orange Crush day, Pink Day, etc.), usually the 3rd Friday of the month, there is a K-2 winner and a 3-5 winner for highest participation. Those winners get a special charm related to the spirit day for their book bag chains, recognition on the morning broadcast, and their picture displayed on the Student Council bulletin board by the cafeteria.
