Welcome to the new school year! The NCE PTA has been preparing for this day all summer and we are thrilled to see our Knights – new and old – in the halls again! We have so much planned to enhance our students’ experience this year and we would like to invite you to join us. Please become a PTA Member to help “Make Every Student’s Potential a Reality.”

We have a place and a role for everyone. Please take a moment to review our interest lists and select the items that are best suited for you. Whether its at-home décor prep, shelving books in the library, event day set-up or spreadsheet logistics, we would love to get you connected to our school and your child’s education in just the right way.

• $150 to each teacher for classroom supplies
• Classroom technology such as I-Pads and Amazon Echos
• Teacher educational experiences
• Cultural Arts Programs
• SPICE – Student Parent Interactive Curriculum Enrichment, a hands-on educational lesson unique to each grade, planned and led by parent volunteers
• Field Trips for each grade, such as Children’s Museum of Houston, George Ranch, Houston Zoo, Museum of Natural Science, Blessington Farm
• Hospitality and Teacher Appreciation Events
• Volunteer Support for Field day, Aerospace, P.E, Library (including Joust Read Program), Watch D.O.G.S.
• Teacher Support through Homeroom Reps and Workroom Volunteers
• Community Events: Nutcracker Market, Santa’s Breakfast, Me and My Guy and Mother Son Date Knight, Red Ribbon Week and Spring Carnival
• 2018: $40,000 in purchases to update instruments, playground balls, PE equipment and to acquire classroom resources including alternative seating, manipulatives, books and resources for every grade level
• IN PROGRESS: A $12,000 in funding has been approved to continue work on the Playground Beautification Project and is awaiting final district approval for installation.
• PTA Volunteers donate over 10,000 hours of their time per year!
