IT'S RED RIBBON WEEK!

RED RIBBON WEEK (RRW) is a national campaign to protect and educate children about the dangers of alcohol and drugs. The theme this year is “Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free.”. For more information, visit the national Red Ribbon website at www.redribbon.org. We will be having a poster contest for grades K-2nd and an essay/poetry contest for grades 3rd – 5th. All entries are due by Wednesday, October 28th and can be submitted electronically. For more information, please see attached rules and guidelines. Winners will be announced Friday, October 30th (there will be prizes for the winners)!

Here are this week’s dress up days for Red Ribbon Week. Participation is not required.

  • Mon 10/26 – Wear red, white and blue – Red Ribbon Week Kickoff!  Take pride in being drug free!
  • Tue 10/27 – Crazy hair & silly socks day – From head to toe, I’m drug free!
  • Wed 10/28 – Superhero day – Have the power to be drug free!
  • Thur 10/29 – Camo day – Stay strong against drugs!
  • Fri 10/30 – Dress like your favorite book character – Live drug free like your favorite character!
