Please join the garden team by participating as a garden volunteer for your child's class.  This can be accomplished on an as needed basis for big events, or more regularly during your child's weekly scheduled class garden time, please talk to your child's teacher or room parent to sign up. This is a great opportunity to participate in the success of the Las Palmas Garden. Not to mention, it is a ton of fun!!!

The big Saturday events that happen in the garden annually are Harvest Day and Earth Day where Las Palmas families and friends are invited to come out to enjoy and support the garden.  These events help to create a sense of community at Las Palmas.

Workshops are also offered throughout the year on a variety of subjects to encourage students and staff to use the garden for hands on learning in a variety of curricula that meet state standards.  This past year, one workshop hosted professionals from the Ecology Center as guest speakers to lead the third grade classes in a planting project.  The garden is a wonderful way in which Las Palmas interacts with other members of our local community.
