Health & Wellness week starts Monday, April 28th - Friday, May 2nd
Focus on eating more fruits & veggies during your day. Students will be asked to wear the "color of the day" and also pack or buy a fruit or vegetable of that color for the day.
Look for more information coming home in student folders after Spring Break.
Each year, the School Improvement Team at NTES chooses 3 great fundraisers. NTES is currently starting its third fundraiser of the year, March for Babies. Please join the staff and students of NTES as we support 4th grade teacher, Emily Newsom, and her walk team, "Remembering Sarah".
Flyers were sent home with students. We'd love to see NTES raise as much money as possible to support this cause! You can find out more information on how to support Mrs. Newsom at marchforbabies.org/team/t2107619/
Any questions please contact Lisa Hall, NTES parent at email@example.com
Please see attached flyer for more information and note checks should be made payable to March of Dimes.
As determined by the North Carolina PTA bylaws, New Town Elementary PTA will not have an interim board. All positions voted on at the General Meeting on May 1, 2014 will be permanent positions with a term starting July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015.
Please note that submitting your information to the Nominating Committee does not guarantee that your name will be on the Slate presented on April 21, 2014. It is the task of the Nominating Committee to identify 1 individual who they deem best qualified to serve in each position. They will do this by way of interviews, if necessary, set up the week of April 7-April 11, 2014. The deadline to submit your information to the Nominating Committee is Friday, April 4, 2014. If you are selected for the slate, you will be notified prior to April 21, 2014. If you are not selected for the slate, but would still like to run for a particular position, you do have the option of running from the floor at the General Meeting on May 1, 2014.
The Nominating Committee will present candidates for the following positions:
(3) Vice Presidents
It is very important to remember that before you can officially be considered for an office, you must be a New Town Elementary PTA member. If you are not a member by Friday, April 4, you will not be taken into consideration for an officer position. Please consider paying your membership dues via cash to avoid any bank errors that would hinder membership. The PTA is not responsible for bounced checks that could result in not being elected to the PTA board of directors.
All interested candidates please contact Lora Lynch, Chair, Nominating Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
