We’re looking forward to another great year at King Springs Elementary! Our school community thrives because of the tremendous volunteerism from our KSE parents.

Below are the current openings for the upcoming 24-25 KSE School year:
PTA Co-President:
This board member works hand-in-hand with other co-president to oversee all PTA related functions, such as--but not limited to:
- Create and maintain relationship with School Admin office.
- Monthly meeting with Principal on mission of school and overview of upcoming calendar events
- Hold yearly meeting to discuss the upcoming calendar year/events (usually done in May)
- Create Agenda and lead monthly PTA meeting (1x month)
- Oversea and make sure VPs and committees are on track for deliverables
- Work with Treasurer on yearly proposed budget and making sure expenditures are all accounted for and noted.
- Working with JCC and State PTA on all paperwork that need to be submitted
- Ensuring all officers are correct on memberhub, givebacks is set up correctly
- Working with communications VP on any website, newsletter or PTA needs on all platforms and making sure they are all up to date
- Working with admin for new school years theme- help executing it
- Maintaining social media- keeping it safe and following rules outlined- posting updates on all events/important matters
- Public speaking - 3x, open house in fall and spring open house and then usually one of the grade level performances to hold elections
- Supporting/Creating slide show for presentations to school
- Liaison with Foundation Board and PTA board- getting all parties involved when needed.
- Constantly making sure calendar dates are being hit and looking forward into the next 2 months for deliverables. (proactive NOT reactive)
- Creating relationships with all staff, teachers and faculty- being at the school to help in all events- being the face for our parents and advocating for our students.
VP of Fundraising Events:
This board participant plans and implements the large family events and fundraisers for KSE. These events include:
Fall Festival (October). A huge event with many vendors (inflatables, face painting, petting zoo, arts & crafts, food). Plan all aspects of the event, reserve vendors, and recruit volunteers. Volunteers are needed for set up, clean up, and during the event.
- Boy/Special Person Event. A fun bonding experience for KSE’s young men and their favorite adult! Dads, we need YOU to help execute this night.
- Girl/Special Person Event. A special time for KSE’s young ladies and their favorite grown-up adult.
- Springer Sprint Fun Run. Work with the Executive Board and vendor to pull off the PTA's biggest fundraising event of the year.
VP of Enrichment Clubs:
--Time Commitment: Average 2-10 hours per month, varies
--Busiest Times of Year: the first 2 weeks of Fall and Spring club.
- Finds and communicates with EC vendors
- Makes sure vendors turn all required paperwork into school prior to the start of clubs
- Coordinates room assignments with the school.
- Coordinates club registration with FunClubs
- Is present at the school the first week or two of clubs during club hours (2:20-3:45)
- Uses social media and other forms of communication to promote clubs
- Finds parent volunteers to help assist with clubs
- Liaison between parents, clubs, and school when issues arise
Treasurer:
This board participant is in charge of the PTA money(cash, checks, ach) budget, audit(find someone to do the audit, volunteer or paid), taxes(send appropriate paperwork to tax professional).
Monthly requirements:
- reconcile account(bank and ach transfers),
- write out checks, deposit any checks or cash received, pta paperwork that is involved in all of that.
- Treasurer report out to board before monthly meeting.
- Biweekly or so depending on events check pta box and mailbox for money.
- Deliver checks to volunteers or mail to pay vendors. Probably about 1-2hours a month depending on amount of money coming and going.
- Events: prepare checks for vendor payments, have petty cash ready and credit card takers charged, attend for some to all event depending on volunteering needs.
- Lead a school tour once a semester.
