Welcome back, Lockeland families! We hope everyone had a wonderful summer break! This year LDC is Wild About Learning, and we hope that you will join us in our annual fundraiser. Our goal this year is to reach $50,000 through our Invest! campaign. 

Your Lockeland PTO is committed to supporting our teachers and students in many ways. This year, as we do at the beginning of every new school year, we are once again asking for your help through InvestLDC! Invest is our annual giving campaign that provides the largest part of Lockeland Elementary’s PTO budget for the 2023-24 school year. With generous contributions from our Lockeland families, we are able to provide excellence in education. Your InvestLDC! dollars will go towards paying for new school technology, a reading instructional specialist, academic expenses, community events, and teacher appreciation. New for the 2023-24 school year, we are also providing funds for a math instructional specialist!

Lockeland teachers have affirmed the benefits of having Instructional Specialists on staff and have also expressed gratitude for the funds allocated to them through InvestLDC! to buy additional curriculum or other materials that help transform their classrooms for our children. Our teachers decide what their students need and can provide those items without having to spend money out of their own pockets.

Making your contribution EARLY in the school year enables the PTO Board to keep our commitments to our faculty, plan better for the entire year, and allocate funds for the best purposes. The Lockeland PTO’s suggested donation is $200 per student. If $200 is more than you can give, feel free to make your donation in any amount that your family can afford. As always, you can do a one-time donation or set up a recurring monthly donation. Our goal is to have 100% participation this year. Every gift, no matter how big or small, helps to support our teachers and staff in making Lockeland the best school in Nashville! 

We also want to provide an update on the Invest Safety campaign that was held last spring. Thanks to remaining Invest funds and last year's fundraising efforts, we are able to purchase a walkie talkie for each classroom. This will help with security in the building by allowing each teacher to be easily reached. 

Choose one of three ways to give. 

1. Make a one-time online gift.

2. Set up a monthly online gift. 
($20 per month over the next 10 school months August through May)

3. Give via cash or check. Make checks payable to Lockeland PTO. Please complete the hard copy of the donation form below and mail it with your cash or check donation to the Lockeland Design Center PTO at 105 South 17th Street, Nashville, TN 37206. 

*Be sure to complete our donation form. We need the information from the donation form so that we can send you a tax receipt, thank you note, and LDC magnet. We are not allowed to procure contact information from MNPS, so without this form, we will not be able to send a tax receipt.
