Box Top Update

During this month's contest we brought in over 15,000 box tops.  That's the most we've ever brought in during a contest.  Way to go!

The class that brought in the most was Mrs. Pierson's first grade class with 629.  Close behind was Mrs. Groome's class with 572.  Mrs. Pierson's class will receive a fudgcicle party and the whole school is receiving a special Bounce House party for passing our goal of 14,500 tops.  The Bounce Party will take place next Friday and is sponsored by XYZ Bank and Trust.

Our Safety Patrols rocked DC!

Washington DC - Capital BldgWhat a great time our Safety Patrols had in DC this past week.  After a long, but enjoyable ride on the train, a first for many of our students, they hit the ground running with their first stop at the Lincoln Memorial.  When polled what their favorite stop was, the resounding winner was the Air and Space Museum.  Mount Vernon was a close second, especially among our girls.  I'd have to say that the most touching moment was our visit to the Vietnam War Memorial where 2 of our students and 4 of our teachers found names of fallen family members.  We want to thank our teachers that served as chaperones on this rigorous trip.  This valuable experience for our students will not soon be forgotten.Save
