Auction auction@ncepta.org
Assist with promoting, collecting and preparing auction baskets. Assist night of auction with set up, breakdown and other auction job. Time varies and can be done at NCE as well at home/office.

Beautification outdoor@ncepta.org
Assist throughout the year in making our school look beautiful. Planning landscape as well as planting/cleaning out flowerbeds.

Boosterthon (Fall Fundraiser) boosterthon@ncepta.org
This is our Fall Fundraiser. Tally laps and pass out water on the day of the Boosterthon.

Carnival (Spring Fundraiser) carnival@ncepta.org
This is the most exciting event of the year for students. It takes a lot of volunteers.  Time commitments vary for several months leading up to the event and many hands are needed the day of the event. (Spring)

Help collect and prepare box tops to be sent in.

Cultural Awareness hospitality@ncepta.org
Are you proud of your culture and heritage?  Are you far from home and missing connections?  This year we are looking to celebrate our varied backgrounds at NCE by connecting families with shared experiences as well as providing opportunities to share elements of your culture with the entire NCE community.  We’d love to hear what you can share with us!

Headed up by the coaches, the kids get a ½ day of fun and games. Volunteers donate sliced watermelon and waters. Volunteers are also needed to facilitate games.

Homeroom Parent Representatives homeroom@ncepta.org
Lead 2 classroom parties, encourage parents to participate in auction and carnival, and pass along class information to other parents in the class.

Joust Read joustread@ncepta.org
The joust program is designed to encourage students to read and increase comprehension. Help keep track of students reading progress and rewards.

Library Help libraryhelp@ncepta.org
Regular Library Volunteer- Come to the library and help students find books, check out nooks, and shelve the books that are turned in. You can sign up to do as many time a month you want to.  All library volunteers must attend training, contact the PTA Library Chairperson for more information. 
Book Fair Help- Do you want to help with book fair, but don’t want to be a regular volunteer? This is perfect for you! You help set up the bookfair, tear it down, work the cash register etc. 
Home helper- Help cutting out bookmarks and manipulative for Joust Read and lessons. Everything can be sent home with you student and competed at home.

Help serve as a mentor to new families at NCE. Help them get acquainted with our school and volunteer program.

This is a school wide, week long drug awareness program. (October)

Reflections reflections@ncepta.org
This is a student fine arts contest including photography, music, compositions, literature and art. We heed help compiling and displaying student entries. (Fall 2-3 days)

Help will be needed prior to event and day of event. Organize food, crafts, decorations, entertainment and set up. (Early December) There are volunteer opportunities from home.

S.P.I.C.E (Student Parent Interactive Curriculum Enrichment) spice@ncepta.org
Each grade has one or two events ranging from Rodeo Day in Kinder to Metric Olympics in 3rd Grade. Volunteers are needed to be grade level coordinators and many volunteers are needed the day of the events to help. This is a great opportunity to get into the classrooms.

STEM Lab stemlab@ncepta.org
Each K-2 class visits the STEM Lab for interactive, hands on learning once per week.  The students experience is enhances by having multiple adults to guide them through the explorations. Volunteers commit to attending weekly half-hour sessions with one class (or more).

Teacher Appreciation teacherappreciation@ncepta.org
Help show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them. Various duties including decorating, gathering donated gifts, catering and serving during teacher luncheon before school starts and teacher appreciation week in May. Great way to get to know NCE teachers and staff. (August & May)

Teacher Treats teachertreats@ncepta.org
Provide treats for the teachers 4 times a year. Treats are asked to be dropped off in the front office by the time school starts. (Usually by 8:30am)

Workroom workroom@ncepta.org
Helping with jobs teachers have provided. Sorting, laminating, cutting etc. Training is provided for these jobs.

WatchD.O.G.S - Dad’s Program watchdogs@ncepta.org
This program is designed to get Dads into the school. Sign up to help one time a year on designated days (mostly Fridays). Also, help is needed grilling hotdogs at Carnival and Donuts with Dad.

Yearbook yearbook@ncepta.org
We need grade level photographers to work with our grade level editors. Will be taking pictures of day to day activities and special events.
