The Las Palmas Treasure Chest is a PTA sponsored rewards program that supports PBIS at Las Palmas.  This is where 1st through 5th grade students can purchase privilege tickets (reward tickets), small toys and enter raffles using PIPER Pride Tickets.  PIPER Pride Tickets are Red, Yellow and Blue.  The red tickets are distributed by supervisors, the yellow by the office and the blue by the teachers. 

Treasure Chest takes place on Fridays each month (dates change sometimes due to holidays, other school events, etc.) and is held by the lunch tables during lunch.

What is PBIS at Las Palmas:
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. It is a process for teaching our students appropriate behavior and providing the supports necessary to sustain that behavior. At Las Palmas, we are focused on five school-wide behavior expectations: PIPER (Preparation, Integrity, Perseverance, Empathy, and Respect).  Through the PBIS framework, school staff encourage the teaching and reinforcement of these positive social expectations across all school settings and beyond.
